MIAA calls on bidding companies for NAIA T3

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) bids and awards committee has announced its intent for companies that are interested to bid for the retrofit of the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

MIAA said that interested construction companies will only have until August 23 for the submission of the requirements to have a chance to bid for the project.

The Department of Transportation and Communication has already allotted Php212 million for the project which seeks to improve the airport by applying fibreglass reinforced polymers to its columns, beams, slabs, and piers; making the beams larger; creating a larger space between sectors 1, 2, and the car park and the elevated access roadway; slab thickening; shear wall thickening; creating larger pier footings; steel jacketing; adding shear blocks to pier headstock; thickening of flat slab drop; and thickening of flat slab drop.
