ABS-CBN’s entries to the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Prizes 2012 got in to the list of finalists in five categories for broadcast media- radio and television.

ABS-CBN’s longest drama anthology, Maalala Mo Kaya, TV Patrol, and DZMM are vying for an award in five categories that highlights the value of broadcasting excellence.

MMK’s T-shirt entered the TV Special Jury Prize and will battle it off with entries from Bhutan, Vietnam, Mongolia, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. DZMM’s Silveradyo Station ID is vying for the Radio Special Jury Prize Category and also the Radio Jingles/ Promos/ Station ID’s category. TV Patrol’s Typhoon Sendong coverage, on the other hand, is part of the Television News Reporting category.

The awarding will be on October 16 in Seoul, South Korea.
