Poll watchdog wants COMELEC to deny application of 15 party lists
A poll watchdog is asking the Commission on Elections to deny the application of 15 party list groups which are planning to run for the upcoming 2013 elections.
Kontra Daya has submitted a list containing the names of the partylists that they deem unfair or are not following COMELEC’s Resolution 9513 which states that the political party must represent the marginalized and underrepresented groups.
Kontra Daya wants the following party list groups to be denied for the 2013 polls and for its registration to be nulled- Ako Bicol, Aangat Tayo, A Teacher, Buhay Partylist, ANg National Coalition of Indigenous People’s Action Na! Inc., Alliance Advocating Autonomy Party, Agricultural Sector Alliance of the Philippines, You Against Corruption and Poverty, Arts Business and Science Professionals, Senior Citizens, Bantay Partylist, Abot Tanaw, 1 Joint Alliance of Marginalized Group, Pasang Masda, and Manila Teachers’ Savings and Loan Association, Inc.
