Singer songwriter Rico Blanco encouraged Filipino musicians to continue writing songs and honouring their craft as he launches his newest album with a festive theme.

Rico Blanco said on an interview that up and coming musicians should not give up on their music dream and continue trying to enter the industry.

It has been four years since Blanco’s first solo album came out and now is the time for him to give out his new offering, Galactik Fiestamatk.

The album centers on the Ati-Atihan festival which Blanco confessed he is a fan of.

Blanco’s launch was attended by Kapamilya star Shaina Magdayao, Sandwhich frontman Raymond Marasigan, and Slapshock’s Jamir Garcia.
