Lower House approves CHR; COMELEC; SC; ARMM; MDA; NCMF budgets

Primary government offices did not have to pass through the eye of a needle today after their budgets were easily approved by the House of Representatives in the 3rd day of deliberation for the 2013 National Budget.

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) already had their budgets approved by the lower house. The CHR proposed for a Php318.9 million while COMELEC Chairman Sixto Brillantes was in the plenary hall to discuss their Php8.4 proposal for the next year.

The Supreme Court of the Philippines had five of its Justices to answer all the inquiries of the lower house regarding their Php17.7 billion budget proposal.

Other government agencies which budget were passed were the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) offices, ARMM Region, Mindanao Development Authority, and National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
