COMELEC says no to 2 partylists
Two party list groups were rejected of an accreditation by the Commission on Elections after the government agency deliberated on the two parties.
Ang Lakas Texters Operators Development Association and the 1-Lambat were both disapproved by the COMELEC. The former had questionable intentions and was unable to illustrate as to how it can represent the marginalized group it seeks to stand for in the House of Representatives.
The other’s accreditation, meanwhile, was rejected because COMELEC’s first division is not sure if it can provide any help to the country’s legislative body.
COMELEC seeks to finish its deliberation on 200 party list groups before the month ends. Three have already been given a decision while the others are still waiting for their fate.
